The majority of our assignments over the years have been program evaluations and related assignments (e.g., performance measurement strategies, surveys and other data collection and analysis engagements, and organization development projects geared toward diagnosing and improving organizations and their programs) – for a variety of clients in the public sector at the federal, provincial/territorial and municipal levels and in the private and non-profit sectors.

Why this position is important to GGI: As a Senior Program Evaluator at GGI you will play a leading role in the provision of strategic insight to our clients in the delivery of evaluation, research and advisory services. In this role, you will work with clients to understand their business issues and needs in order to develop and design appropriate solutions while building and maintaining strong client relationships. You are experienced in both qualitative and quantitative research design, with experience leading projects from start to finish. Responsibilities: GGI envisions a senior evaluation resource that would assume the following responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Design and execute evaluation projects by collaborating with clients and team members.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor evaluation teams, providing guidance and support to junior staff.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong client relationships, understand their unique needs, and tailor evaluation solutions including recommendations accordingly.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Oversee data collection efforts, conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis, and interpret findings to generate actionable insights.
  • Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports, evaluation plans, presentations, and data visualizations to effectively communicate results to clients.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues across various projects and GGI service areas to ensure cross-functional success.
  • Business Development: Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal writing and expanding client relationships.

  • Project Management: Experience in managing project scope, budgets and timelines.
  • Client Relationship Management: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Data Analysis: An ability to manage both qualitative and quantitative datasets and databases of primary and secondary data.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including data visualization.
  • Teamwork: A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Continuous Learning: A commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth in the field of evaluation.

Qualifications:  

  • 6-10+ years’ experience in an evaluation or research environment. Evaluation consulting is desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects including leading teams, and business development while maintaining a strong client service orientation is highly valued;
  • A graduate level (masters or doctorate) degree is required. Academic studies that explore evaluation or research methods are preferred;
  • Highly motivated, self-directed and capable of working within tight deadlines;
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills;
  • Work well in a team environment.

Salary: GGI endeavours to offer compensation that is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. The salary range for the Senior Program Evaluator is $85K to $110K, depending on the successful candidate’s experience and qualifications.
